Definition of terms
| Term | Description |

| Portal | This is the portal site for accessing RC+ Cloud services. You can configure settings for remote connection, monitoring, and team development, and launch Web-based RC+ and the Monitoring Dashboard. You can also manage the organizations and users required to use the services, as well as licenses. |
| Organization | An organization is the management unit for RC+ Cloud resources. All users, groups, volumes (data sharing/version control), and gateways (remote connection/monitoring) are owned by exactly one organization. |
| Group | A group is a collection of users and is used to grant permissions to multiple users at once. A user can belong to multiple groups or to no group at all. |
| Volume | This is a storage area for uploading data to the cloud using data sharing and version control. Permissions can be configured for each volume. |
| Gateway | This application connects a robot controller to the RC+ Cloud service on the Internet through secure communication. There are two types, one for remote connection and one for monitoring, and both are managed by the gateway manager. |
| Gateway Manager | This application manages the gateways described above. Install and use it on a PC that can connect both to the network to which the robot controller is connected and to the Internet. You can install and configure gateways. |
| Role | Roles can be assigned to users. The following types of roles are available. - Owner: The person responsible for the organization's resources and can perform administrative operations, such as granting and revoking permissions and viewing logs, for all resources in the organization. - Member: Can operate resources in the organization according to the permissions configured by the owner. |
| Permission | Permissions can be configured for resources. Refer to the following table for the permissions that can be configured for each resource. |
| Usage Rights | This is an Usage Rights included in a license key issued by SEC that enables use of the Cloud edition with the conventional RC+ installed on a PC. All registered "Usage Rights" are managed at the organization level and assigned to users within the organization for use. |
| Service resources | This is the maximum amount of resources available for RC+ Cloud services, as specified in the license key issued by SEC. The following service resources are available. - Data sharing storage capacity - Number of controllers that can be monitored - Number of simultaneous remote connection gateway connections - Web-based RC+ usage time - AI Assistant token allowance |

Allows the applicable volume to be read. - Edit permission: Can be configured for a volume. Allows data to be read from and written to the applicable volume. |
