General Flow of Control via the D-Sub Terminal
The general flow of control via external control is as follows. Steps 1 to 5 can be performed in any order, but must be performed before step 6.
Set the Priority bit (In15) to 1: ON.
Exclusive control is performed so that commands from the Ethernet are not accepted.
The type of operation is specified by combining the 2 input bits In0 and In1.
The part ID is specified by combining the 4 input bits In9 to In12.
The 5 input bits In3 to In7 are combined to specify the details of the operation (such as an action or sequence).
Verify that the Ready bit (Out0) is 1: ON.
0: If Off, another operation is currently running. Wait until the operation is finished.
Set the Start Execution bit (In2) to 1: ON.
Operation starts.
To complete the operation, set the Stop Execution bit (In8) to 1: On.
After the operation is complete, check the output signals and error codes to determine whether or not the operation was successful.
To turn on the backlight, set the Backlight bit (In14) to 1: On. The Backlight bit (In14) is a toggle switch. To turn off the backlight, set the Backlight bit (In14) back to 1: On.
When imaging with a vision camera, ensure the Action Executing bit (Out1) is set to 0: Off before performing the imaging operation.
If necessary, return the Priority bit (In15) to 0: Off.
