Adjusting White Balance
The shades of the image to be acquired by the color camera can be changed by using the white balance adjustment function. Refer to the following steps to adjust the shades.
For PV1
Start Epson RC+ 8.0 and select [Setup]-[System Configuration].
Click [Vision]-[Cameras] from the tree and select the color camera to be adjusted. Click the [Configure…] button.
The [Configure Camera] dialog box is displayed. Click the [White Balance…] button.
The [Adjust Camera White Balance] dialog box is displayed.
Set a white or gray object shown on the full view. When the image is overexposed, adjust the aperture to control the brightness.
Click the [White Balance…] button.
Click the [Apply] button. The results are reflected to the camera.
It can be adjusted by entering values manually in [Red], [Green], and [Blue] boxes.Click the [Close] button. Finish the white balance adjustment.
For CV2
Create a new project whose sequence uses the color camera for the target of adjustment and open the project. For details, refer to the following section.
