Simulator Virtual Camera Linkage Function

The simulator virtual camera is configured with a camera, lens, and extension tube. This simulator virtual camera linkage function is a function that allows you to display the display image of the camera view installed as a fixed camera or mounted on the robot as a mobile camera by checking the "Simulate Camera View in Vision Guide" checkbox.

Only one camera can have this feature enabled. Only the last enabled PV camera can display the FOV image of the corresponding camera object in the simulator space on the Vision Guide's Video Display. Note that the FOV image will be displayed on the Video Display only for cameras that are connected to the controller and have the linkage function enabled on the system settings screen.

If you set the Vision Sequence's ImageSource property to [Camera] and select a camera with the linkage function enabled in the Camera property, the FOV image will be displayed on the Video Display. The displayed FOV image can be image processed with a vision sequence. If you select a disabled camera, a black image will be displayed.

Additionally, the image displayed on the Video Display is updated to follow changes in the position and orientation of objects in the simulator space.

KEY POINTS

  • If the controller is not connected, a black image will always be displayed on the Video Display, regardless of whether the simulator linkage function in the system settings is enabled or disabled.
  • When you switch the ImageSize property of a vision sequence, the image will be displayed at the specified size with the center of the image as the reference, just like a real camera. Also, the list displayed when you select the ImageSize property is the size supported by Vision, with the maximum camera resolution.
